Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in our busy repair center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicle repairs are performed in a timely and efficient manner, while providing excellent service to our customers. The Mechanic will work closely with the service team to ensure all repairs meet Auto House Repair Centre’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Inspect and test vehicle systems such as brakes, engine components, transmission, and exhaust systems.
- Replace defective parts, components, and fluids according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and battery checks.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Provide clear and accurate reports on vehicle conditions and needed repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, costs, and timelines.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment and tools are properly cared for.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technology, and repair techniques.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic or technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Familiarity with automotive software and repair manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Certification from an accredited mechanic program or equivalent training (red seal is a plus).
