Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Inspect and examine equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Use hand and power tools to perform repairs, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
- Relocate/operate heavy equipment to move it within the shop area.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other preventative maintenance work.
- Equipment and facility continuous improvements.
- Interface with customers, products, and sales support.
- Provide support concerning on-site safety requirements.
- Drafting technical reports and completing paperwork as required.
- Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
Requirements
Does this sound like you?
- Journeyperson Heave Duty Technician ticket; Automotive Service Technician.
- Specialization in fuel pumps and injectors, track equipment, engine overhaul, hydraulic controls, power shift transmissions, and allied equipment.
- Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection.
- You thrive on collaboration and in a communal environment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
