This opportunity entails a Fly-in, Fly-out arrangement at Kearl Lake, operating on a 14/14 rotation with transportation provided to and from Calgary or Edmonton and camp accommodations.
Overview
FLINT seeks proficient and seasoned Heavy Equipment Operators to join our dynamic team! You will operate various heavy machinery in this position to support diverse mining operations. Your adeptness in safe equipment operation and effective communication with fellow operators will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Execute excavation and heavy equipment operations within an open pit mine.
- Operate designated heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Engage in all safety protocols and contribute to fostering a safety-conscious culture.
- Participate in training sessions for new equipment as required.
Requirements
Does this sound like you?
- Minimum of 2000 hours of experience operating a 24 M Cat Grader in an open pit mine as well as 2000 hours of experience operating D10 Dozer with push down experience for Mine Operations.
- Demonstrated experience in open pit mining, with a minimum of 2000 hours.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract.
- Completion of Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation (BSO).
- Preferably, a high school diploma or post-secondary degree.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting etc.
